Volvo 480 ES
Eleanor
This is my new runaround, she is a 1.7i n/a ES automatic, I have really always wanted an auto and when I saw Eleanor for sale on eBay I just couldn't resist. The owner before me only had her for a few weeks but had to sell it due to having a company car. The owner before him was a Volvo enthusiast and carried out over £3,000 worth of work on the car, all this backed up with receipts, including one for a brand new auto box only at 98,000 miles, this alone cost over £1,000. the typical life span of a 480 autobox is around 120,000 miles so if she hadn't had a new autobox I probably wouldn't have bought her. Also in the boot was a box containing 4 brand new Volvo mud flaps, I had always wanted these for my Celeb and so they have been donated to my Celebration, as has the 3 month old JVC CD player worth £180. In return my Celebration has donated her Cetus alloys to make the ES look a little better. Cosmetically she needed a good T-Cut and polish to bring her black paint work back to life.
Since buying this car I have made lots of improvements (see Journal) to making it a bit more unique. To reflect this I have updated the pictures on this page alongside the original photos
